The Female Maverick - Where We Have Been; Where We Are Going

The Manifesto Recap

We embarked on this journey in mid-June with a promise to share our experiences and provide a step-by-step guide on starting a business as women. The real story. The pain, the joy, the mistakes and the sh** that is just hard. You learned a lot about our own failures, and hopefully, how to make less mistakes than we did.

Over the past two months, we have shared our story from startup to monetization, kicked off the how to guide with a deep dive on sizing your market and gone deep on the mindsets that worked for us as Mavericks and Moms. For those new to our newsletter, here’s a quick overview of The Female Maverick Manifesto, the principles that will help you become your own boss, pursue your vision, and transform your financial future. Also, be sure to follow along with us on LinkedIn for other content as we cover the topics we think are top of mind for any female entrepreneur.

All we asked from you was feedback—specifically, what you wanted more of, less of and the topics we missed. And you delivered in spades.

We were amazed by the diverse range of individuals who reached out, spanning various fields – techies, PR experts, biotech innovators, bakers, retail specialists, writers, and many more. Each of you, despite your different pursuits, share a common goal: to build a seven-figure (or beyond) enterprise and turn your dreams into action. Some of you were already at the top of your corporate ladder but chose to step back and seize control of your future. Others are dedicated stay-at-home parents who manage to run vital businesses in between 4 AM feedings.

To our Female Mavericks, we’ve heard you. In the coming months, we’ll be refining our newsletter to be more concise and packed with deeper insights into the Female Maverick Mindset. We’ll also cover crucial topics such as funding, scaling, building a set of advisors and pivoting during the beta phase to make sure you launch with the optimal product or service.

Additionally, we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be accepting applications for the Female Maverick 50. The intent is to be an intense, almost bootcamp in its mentoring approach for women entrepreneurs who want a higher level of coaching from a team of curated advisors. Stay tuned for more news on this.

What’s Next?

So now that we have been through the first rule, we move on to building your kitchen cabinet next week. This might look different for each of you, but what we know to be fact is that this group of advisors, friends, mentors, peeps is the key to the castle as you start your business and position it for success.
